What does a competition cost me?
The total costs for a competition depend on the country where the event takes place. Most competitions are organized in Europe, and therefore the price for the plane ticket must be considered.
Costs usually range between $1,000 and $1,800 per person.
Included in these costs are
- round-trip airfare from an east coast city (usually New York City)
- breakfasts, lunches, dinners
- entry fees, housing, local transportation
Not included are personal expenses such as souvenirs, drinks and other incidental items.
